  • What if I have too much yard waste to fit in my curbside collection bin?

If you have more yard waste than can fit in your curbside collection bin, there are a few options. You can purchase additional bins or containers, or you can consider renting a dumpster or using a yard waste collection service. Check with your local government to see if they offer any alternative collection options.

  • How can I reduce the amount of yard waste I generate?

There are several ways to reduce the amount of yard waste you generate. For example, you can use a mulching mower to chop up leaves and grass clippings into small pieces that can easily decompose. You can also consider using native plants that require less maintenance and generate less waste. Additionally, you can reduce waste by using a drip irrigation system instead of a sprinkler, which can help reduce the amount of water you use and the amount of waste generated.

  • What types of yard waste can be disposed of through my local government's collection program?itle

Most local governments accept common yard waste items such as leaves, grass clippings, and branches. However, some programs may not accept certain items like poison ivy, poison oak, or poison sumac due to safety concerns. It’s best to check with your local government to determine which items are accepted.

  • How should I prepare my yard waste for collection?

To ensure that your yard waste is collected properly, it’s important to prepare it correctly. This may include bagging or bundling the waste, and placing it at the curb or in a designated collection area. Check with your local government for specific guidelines on preparing your yard waste for collection.

  • Can I compost my yard waste instead of disposing of it through the government's collection program?

Yes, composting is a great option for disposing of yard waste. Composting allows you to turn your yard waste into a nutrient-rich soil amendment for your garden or lawn. You can purchase a compost bin or create your own compost pile. Check with your local government to see if they offer any resources or guidelines on composting.

  • What materials can I put in a concrete dumpster?

We allow clean concrete, asphalt, and brick in our concrete dumpster rentals.

  • What size dumpster is available for concrete?

Due to the weight of the material we typically send out a 10 yard lowboy dumpster for concrete with a maximum weight of 10 tons.

  • What happens if my dumpster has materials other than concrete?

If the dumpster is contaminated the inert landfill will reject the load and we will be forced to take it to the Municipal Solid Waste Landfill and the load will be billed on a per ton basis.  Be very careful to only put “Clean Concrete” in our dumpsters.

  • How are concrete dumpster rentals priced?

Typically concrete rentals are priced with a flat rate of up to 10 tons.  This will include delivery, pickup, and any local taxes or relevant fees.  Be very careful not to contaiminate the load or we will be forced to take it to the MSW landfill and there will be additional charges based on the weight of the bin.

  • What size roll-off dumpster do I need for a home cleanout project?

For home cleanouts, a 20-yard dumpster is often a suitable choice, accommodating various items such as furniture, appliances, and general household debris.

  • What is the weight limit for your roll-off dumpsters?

Weight limits can vary by location and size. It’s important to discuss your specific project details with our team, but as a general guideline, a 20-yard dumpster typically has a weight limit of around 3 to 4 tons.

  • Can I mix different types of waste in the same dumpster?

It depends on local regulations and the type of waste. While some materials can be mixed, certain items like hazardous materials may require separate disposal. Our team can provide guidance based on your location and project.

  • How much space is needed for the delivery of a roll-off dumpster?

The space required depends on the size of the dumpster. Generally, you should ensure there’s enough clearance for the delivery truck and sufficient space for the dimensions of the chosen container. Our team can assist in assessing your specific delivery spot.
